Waitlist questions

What joining actually gets you, and how a city wins the race.

What do I get for joining the jastado waitlist?
You get a founding number that is yours forever, a place in the city race, and you start collecting Stars. If you join early, that number means you were one of the first people in jastado. A Star is more than a like. You spend them after jastado opens in your city. You earn one Star for every friend who joins and confirms, and your friend earns one too. Your Stars reach your jastado profile when the app opens in your city. Joining is free.
How does jastado decide which city launches first?
jastado opens city by city. Every confirmed signup counts for the city that person chose. The city with the most people waiting gets jastado first. The live board on the join page shows where each city stands.
Is the jastado waitlist a numbered queue?
You get a founding number when you join. It is yours. It never changes, and it is not a public rank. Join early and you were one of the first people in jastado. That is something to keep. Your city also has a private opening line that only you can see. When jastado opens in your city, people toward the front of that line are invited first. It does not appear on the public board. The public race is cities, not people. Your signup counts for your city. Bringing your city up the board is what brings jastado to you sooner.
Does inviting friends move me up the list?
When a friend in your city confirms, two things move. Your city climbs the public race, and you move forward on your private opening line. Only you see that line. When jastado opens there, people toward the front are invited first. You and your friend each receive one Star. If they pick another city, that city climbs instead. Your private line stays. You still both get a Star. Your founding number never moves. That is the number you keep.
What is a Star on jastado?
A Star is more than a like. Collect them while you wait. Spend them after jastado opens in your city. What sending one actually does is something we will show you when the app is in your hands. Join with the email you will use in the app, so your Stars reach the right profile.
Does the jastado waitlist cost anything?
No. Joining the waitlist is free. Inside jastado, searching, filtering and seeing how you match are free as well. Dealbreaker filters are free forever.
